“It was necessary to take action for someone like Harry because he was a very significant figure in this town and so many people, including me, adored him,” Carrington-Jones said to 9News.

His teammates sensed his absence when he wasn’t playing.
According to Carrington-Jones, “[Harry] wasn’t the biggest or the tallest, but he was incredibly swift and never gave up in any game.”
Sam West echoed this sentiment, stating that Stead gave the game “such much vitality and so much passion.”
Colvin stated, “He would have made friends, been very popular, and the team would have definitely benefited from having him, regardless of the grade he played.”
The group is banding together to repay a man who so generously provided to them.
Charlie stated, “We hope the Stead family knows they have all of the support of everyone at the UWA football team. We’re always here for them whatever they need.”
