EXCLUSIVE: Patrick Mahomes make a difficult decision that will hurt Andy Reid and Chiefs teammates.

The NFL stars have made their positions plain.

The Kansas City Chiefs’ Travis Kelce and Patrick Mahomes have launched a restaurant after their Super Bowl success, but don’t expect them to give anything away. Kelce, Taylor Swift’s boyfriend, is collaborating with quarterback Mahomes to expand their successful partnership into the culinary industry.

In March, they revealed plans to open an American steakhouse in Kansas City called ‘1587 Prime’. The duo branded their business as the “ultimate immersive dining destination,” which elicited great responses from fans and teammates.

The restaurant will be staffed by Chiefs icons, so team members may expect discounts or perhaps free meals. Additionally, a cheeseburger will be named after Andy Reid, the team’s coach.

On the newest episode of their podcast ‘New Heights’, Kelce, 34, stated that he would not allow them to dine out for free, but would occasionally cover the cost for his coworkers.

Travis responded to former Philadelphia Eagles center Jason’s question, “Are you guys going to be like n aTodd Herm and Brent Celic when they open their bar in Philly and just let the Chief players eat for free?” Travis said, “Probably not, but yeah, there’ll be times where I’ll pick up the bill guys every now and then.”

Why is the restaurant named 1587 Prime?

Jason asked his brother where the name came from, and Travis’ answer that it was merely a random combination of digits proved incorrect.

Fans of the Kansas City Chiefs may notice the fusion of the two players’ jersey numbers – ’15’ for Mahomes and ’87’ for Kelce – to form the ‘1587’ name. Despite the reference of ‘Prime’, it is completely owned by Mahomes and Kelce and is not linked with Jake Paul, KSI’s brand, or any other investor.

The steakhouse is a means for Patrick and Travis to give back to the Kansas City community by upgrading eating standards. If successful, the restaurant might potentially be franchised nationwide.
