Braves slugger After all, Marcell Ozuna isn’t a clean slate.

These events raised doubts about his baseball future. The Braves paid him close to $32 million for those two lost seasons, and if they hadn’t still owed him $32 million for 2023 and 2024, they most likely would have traded him.

When Ozuna appeared at spring training the previous year, he acknowledged that he hadn’t put in much effort to prepare for the 2021 and 2022 campaigns.

He claimed to have cleansed his head, put in the effort for 2023, and shut out the taunts from Braves supporters who had turned against him. Ozuna stated that as his arm strength improved, he even had plans to play some left field.
