The man named Nigel Benn is the one who changed Anthony Joshua.
As the heavyweight contender gets ready for his fight with Francis Ngannou, Nigel Benn has praised Ben Davison for his efforts with Anthony Joshua.
Joshua takes on Ngannou, the former heavyweight champion of the UFC, on March 8 in Saudi Arabia. The winner advances to face Tyson Fury vs. Oleksandr Usyk, which is broadcast live on DAZN.com on May 18.
After two losses to Oleksandr Usyk, he has won three straight; his most recent victory came in 2023, when he decisively stopped Otto Wallin.
He has worked with a few different trainers after splitting ways with Rob McCracken, but Davison appears to be the one he has finally landed on.
Benn complimented the two in an interview with Fruity Slots for Joshua’s recent progress.
“I’m so glad AJ looked like his old self; he went a little gun-shy,” he exclaimed. It appears that Ben Davison has extracted it from him. I believe he puts it on Usyk if he fights him in that manner a third time. If he had the proper mindset and approach, I believe he might succeed.
“His previous fight really impressed me; he can go on to take on Usyk and Fury and call it a day.” He possesses Ngannou, but who is Ngannou in reality? Did he go off against the best Fury yet? Where had Fury gone mad? I believe that AJ will take a toll on him, and if AJ strikes him, he will be injured. I believe that AJ is too strong for Ngannou.
