Liverpool manager Jurgen Klopp feels his team had more than enough opportunities to win the match in regular time after his team dominated the second half.

A reporter’s “dumb question” embarrassed Jurgen Klopp after Liverpool’s dramatic FA Cup loss to Manchester United, while Erik ten Hag, the other manager, said his team “can beat anyone” following their 4-3 victory at Old Trafford.

When Klopp answered questions following the game, he had been philosophical about losing a sometimes-crazy match.
“We were nearly there in normal time and nearly there in extra time, and then we lost the game; that’s alright,” he stated. “I am unable to ask for much more.
Everyone is aware that the season has been far more intensive thus far—all you have to do is tally the number of games. It was a really challenging day. The decision-making becomes worse the longer the game is played.
“Going to the semi-final, congratulations to United. We aim to utilize the one or two games we have left over in the upcoming weeks.”
A reporter from a Scandinavian TV network questioned why Liverpool seemed to lose intensity in extra time, but Klopp was measured in his response to most of the media following his side’s loss.

Since then, Frederiksen has responded to the heated debate, saying he can relate to Klopp’s emotions.
According to Frederiksen, who spoke to the Danish sports magazine Tipsbladet, “I interpret it mostly as an expression of his terrible frustration that they lost to Manchester United in the manner it happened, where they were ahead twice and should have sealed the deal.”

“His final game in England was supposed to be an FA Cup final at Wembley, but that opportunity has now been snatched away from him. Thus, I can appreciate his extreme frustration.

Then he received a query that, in his opinion, wasn’t suitable. He has lamented their repeated injuries and matches, which have been a recurring topic for them. He became agitated after being asked why there was no intensity in the game.
It’s reasonable enough. That is not at all problematic for me. There won’t be any issues in the future at all. I really can’t imagine that.
“From a professional standpoint, we will still be close friends when I interview him again. He doesn’t seem to have a grudge, and neither do I.”

His joy at how everything had worked out was evident.

Ten Hag told ITV, “I think the first 35 minutes were the best minutes of our season.”
