A trustworthy reporter reports on Leeds’s connections to £25 million. Jack C. Clarke
In the closing moments of the summer transfer window, Leeds United are closely monitoring a possible new attacker as they try to improve their roster in an attempt to gain promotion from the Championship.
This season, Leeds has not had a good start.
The Daniel Farke-led squad has yet to win a game this championship season and has not had a good start.
The Daniel Farke-led squad has yet to win a game this championship season and has not had a good start.
After a turbulent summer filled with exits, Georginio Rutter is the latest to depart; the Frenchman is anticipated to agree to a record-breaking £40 million contract to join Brighton.
Leeds began the season with a 3-3 draw with Portsmouth after rallying for a late equalizer.
They then lost 3-0 at home to Middlesbrough in the EFL Cup first round and drew 0-0 with West Bromwich Albion, the team from last season’s playoffs. After two games, Leeds is now four points behind Watford and Burnley in the Championship.
In remarks made prior to the draw at The Hawthorns, Farke stated that, come summer transfer window closing time, he still wanted four fresh faces.
We require a winger or offensive player, a midfielder, a full-back for cover, and another offensive player for when Georgi leaves. In every way, they require the entire package. If you don’t score goals and provide assists, you are not a great player.”
They must have the appropriate mindset, personality, and price.
It’s difficult to draw this kind of person. In the Premier League, things are simpler. This is our area of focus.
It has now come to light that they are closely monitoring someone who meets that description.
Leeds United look for forwards with “super talent.
This coincides with the revelation by trustworthy Telegraph reporter Mike McGrath that Leeds is still monitoring former Tottenham and Leeds winger Jack Clarke in their pursuit of reinforcements.
McGrath claims that the winger, who finished last season with 15 goals for Sunderland in the Championship, is “well aware” of the Yorkshire team and that a possible transfer is “one to watch” in the last two weeks of the transfer window.
Despite still just being 23 years old, Clarke—who Sunderland paid £25 million for—has developed into one of the Championship’s most talented forwards since moving from Leeds to Tottenham back in 2019.
Former Sunderland manager Tony Mowbray picked him out for great praise back in 2023, calling him a “super talent” during one game against Blackburn Rovers.
Tonight, he was incredible. scored two excellent goals, earned the penalty, and executed it well, demonstrating the confidence needed to accept the penalty and maintain composure for his second goal.
not simply the objective, though. The longer the game goes on, the more this team realizes that they should pass the ball to Clarke, who has the ability to shoot, cut inside, and run the ball 40 yards up the pitch.
He’s a terrific kid and a super talent
With just two years left on his £17,000-a-week contract in the northeast, Clarke could be persuaded to leave the Black Cats in the event that a better offer materializes during the last few days of the transfer window, but there has been no guarantee that he will sign a new deal.
