Wide receiver Damiere Byrd and offensive lineman Kevin Jarvis were also dropped from the roster.

In defence, the four players cut were linebackers Deion Jones and Shayne Simon, along with defensive end Rondell Bothroyd and cornerback Kyron Brown.

The Bills wrapped up their preseason campaign on Saturday, losing 31-26 to the Carolina Panthers.

Now they’re busy finalising their roster ahead of the cut deadline, which is at 4pm ET on Tuesday.

“This is a tough business,” said head coach Sean McDermott after the Panthers game.

“They’re prepared either way. For whatever happens, they’ll be prepared and they’re going to be just fine.”

Brown was only signed just before the Panthers game, with starting quarterback Josh Allen’s backup Mitch Trubisky out of action with a knee injury.

The 26-year-old took his unlikely opportunity and went 11-of-12 passing for 102 yards.
