In relation to the double shooting at Old Six Mile Lane, Jeffersontown police detain a 27-year-old
Louisville resident Mikal Ballard, 27, is accused of two shootings that resulted in a man’s death.
In relation to a fatal double shooting on Old Six Mile Lane, Jeffersontown Police detained and charged a 27-year-old man from Louisville with murder.
On July 30, at approximately 10:20 a.m., there was gunfire. Mikal Ballard allegedly broke into the house and shot a man and woman who were sharing a bed, according to an arrest citation. Joseph Lewis, a man of twenty, was slain.
The University of Louisville Hospital received the woman, whose name has not been made public
She had hand, shoulder, and face injuries, according to the police. She is anticipated to live, though. According to the citation, the woman was also hurt in another shooting on June 18 that resulted in the death of a man.
Ballard was driving a rental car, which detectives were able to identify as the suspect vehicle through electronic surveillance. Ballard was eventually recognised as the shooter suspect by means of video surveillance.
Charges of murder, assault, and burglary were brought against him after his Tuesday arrest. On Wednesday, Ballard is expected to appear in court.
