For the next four days, the Seattle Mariners might be looking to pull off a blockbuster trade.
Since the trade deadline is in five days, there has been conjecture for months that the Mariners may need an offensive upgrade. Seattle has an abundance of young starting pitchers under team control, which gives them the ability to complete a significant trade.
Over the past two years, the Mariners’ starting rotation has been among the best in baseball, but the offense hasn’t kept up with it. As a result in trade speculations, the Mariners have been associated with a number of superstars.
Zachary Rymer of Bleacher Report even went so far as to call Seattle the “best fit” to acquire superstar Vladimir Guerrero Jr. of the Toronto Blue Jays, should he decide to go.
