Just In: Entering The Final Year Deal, The Lakers Talented Star Worth Approximately $23 Million Could Be Heading To California Next Season.

Brett Siegel of ClutchPoints stated, They are still looking into potential suitors for veteran swingman Bruce Brown, who is about to enter the last year of his $23 million contract.

Because of his versatility across positions and his propensity to produce clutch plays that don’t always translate into statistics, Brown is well-liked around the league.

The 27-year-old was a key member of the Denver Nuggets’ 2023 championship run, and teams hoping to make the playoffs will be drawn to him because of his expiring contract.

According to insiders, Los Angeles is still interested in Brown this offseason. The Lakers and Milwaukee Bucks were two teams that expressed interest in him last season. The Golden State Warriors are one team that has subtly expressed interest in Brown and was brought up as a potential suitor months ago.

The Warriors may trade Andrew Wiggins, who is making over $26 million this season, to Toronto in exchange for Brown and other assets, though this is unlikely to happen. The Dubs would have greater financial flexibility as a result in the future.

Consequently, if the Raptors feel that any player would work well with Barnes, there might be some traction given that the Lakers have the salaries of D’Angelo Russell, Cam Reddish, Jaxson Hayes, and others to plug into a trade.

But Los Angeles has few other assets, particularly draft picks, which might complicate negotiations because Toronto is probably searching for something more than just expiring contracts to bolster and improve their roster.

Brown’s addition makes almost too much sense for the Lakers and Warriors.

He is incredibly versatile and capable of setting up plays. Perhaps more essential, though, is that he has championship experience from his time in Denver.

Which team, though, is able to present a more alluring deal to get Brown from the Raptors?
Once more, everything hinges on what the Raptors would like to get in exchange for Brown. However, the Warriors can currently present a far more compelling offer than the Lakers.
