In order to sign Joao Neves, Manchester United offers Benfica £60 million.
According to sources from Portugal, Manchester United’s second attempt to sign Joao Neves from Benfica was turned down by the Portuguese team.
The Red Devils, who are hoping to improve under new co-owner Sir Jim Ratcliffe, are preparing for a big summer off the pitch. Since Dan Ashworth can now resume his duties as sporting director, there has been an increase in transfer rumours.
Having missed out on Champions League football the previous season and only qualifying for the Europa League the following season thanks to their FA Cup victory, there is still much work to be done to make sure they are in a stronger position to compete in the 2024–2025 campaign. The United manager is reportedly looking to bolster his midfield in light of his connections to Neves.
