Djokovic honours Andy Murray while Murray aims for a £650k payday
Wimbledon gets underway today, and a number of well-known celebrities will be competing. Among those playing in the first round today are Carlo Alcaraz, Jannik Sinner, Casper Ruud, Emma Raducanu, and Aryna Sabalenka.
The biggest news of the day, though, might not come from the court.Andy Murray is expected to decide if he would participate in his last Championships. It was planned for the British tennis legend to compete in the singles—he will play his first match on Tuesday—as well as the doubles with his elder brother Jamie.
Murray retired from Queen’s Club last week and had surgery to remove a spine cyst. The Scot, a 2013 and 2016 Wimbledon champion, is itching to make one last appearance on centre court.
