Today’s game in this year’s London series between the New York Mets and the hot Phillies will not be called by John Kruk and crew.
Rather, both matches will be televised nationally from London Stadium, the home of West Ham United in the Premier League. Fox will broadcast the Saturday game at 1:10 p.m. Eastern time, while ESPN will broadcast the Sunday game at 10:10 a.m. Eastern time. You may watch the games on BBC Sports and TNT Sports if you’re in the United Kingdom.
You may also listen here in Philadelphia by tuning into 94.1 WIP, where Scott Franzke and Kevin Stocker are on the call. On La Unika 1680 AM, Bill Kulik, Oscar Budejen, and Angel Castillo will announce the Phillies vs. Mets game in Spanish.
The Mets will play their fourth game outside of the continental United States; they have previously played the San Diego Padres in Mexico in 1996, the Chicago Cubs in Japan’s Tokyo Dome in 2000, and the Miami Marlins in Puerto Rico in 2010. This will be the Phillies’ first international game outside of Canada.
After suffering a line drive off his left thumb during his previous start on June 1, Ranger Suárez (9-1, 1.70 ERA) has been cleared to pitch on Saturday. He will take on Sean Manaea, a lefty from the Mets (3-2, 3.63 ERA). Tijuan Walker (3-1, 5.73 ERA) will start for the Phillies on Sunday against Jose Quintana (1-5, 5.17 ERA).
MLB is hosting games in London for the third time; the series was resumed following a brief break last year. In 2026, London is scheduled to hold games as well. According to the Associated Press, the Major League Baseball (MLB) cancelled its ambitions to book a series at the Stade de France in Paris in 2025 after failing to locate a promoter.
Premier League team West Ham United is based in London Stadium, which was constructed for the 2012 Olympics and is the site of Usain Bolt’s three gold medal victories. According to my colleague Scott Lauber, this is the third time the stadium has been transformed into a baseball pitch. It measures 330 feet down the lines, 387 in the alleys and 392 to centre, which makes it somewhat smaller than Citizens Bank Park.
Adam Amin, a former ESPN broadcaster who is in his fourth season of calling MLB games for Fox, will call the game. A.J. Pierzynski, a former catcher, and Adam Wainwright, a former ace of the St. Louis Cardinals who retired last season, will be joining him in the booth. Wainwright made his debut in the Fox studio last month. Reporting live from London Stadium will be Tom Verducci.
The Fox Sports app will stream the game, but a cable login is needed. Additionally, a number of subscription services, such as YouTube TV, Hulu + Live TV, fubo, and DirecTV Stream, offer Fox for streaming. In almost every city, you may view Fox for free with a digital antenna.
The London match on Saturday is a part of Fox’s extensive schedule of sports programming. Fox will broadcast the 156th Belmont Stakes, the final leg of the Triple Crown, following the Phillies-Mets game. At 7:30 p.m., the Los Angeles Dodgers will take on the New York Yankees in the Bronx.
I want people to turn on their TV at 12:30 and then glance up ten hours later and they’re still on Fox,” Fox Sports head of production and operations Brad Zager said to Puck’s John Ourand. I want them to report that it was good and that it went quickly.
The play-by-play for the game will be called by Yankees announcer Michael Kay; however, Alex Rodriguez, who is currently exclusively employed by Fox, will not be joining him. Rather, analysts Tim Kurkjian and Doug Glanville will join Kay in the studio. Francisco Lindor, the shortstop for the Mets, will also be mic’d up on ESPN.
The game on Sunday can be viewed on the ESPN app with a cable subscriber login, but it won’t be streamed on ESPN+. Additionally, the network is available on a number of streaming platforms, including as DirecTV, YouTube TV, Hulu + Live TV, and fubo.
The Phillies and Arizona Diamondbacks will reprise their National League Championship Series in a few weeks when they visit to Phoenix. To watch, however, fans will need to sign up for a few streaming providers.
The series finale is set to start at 11:35 a.m. on June 23. Fans of the Phillies will have to log onto Roku Channel to view it. This is a part of Roku’s new three-year agreement to take over the early Sunday games that Peacock streamed the previous season. Although Roku Channel is free, an account must be created.
