OFFICIAL NEWS: For Game 2 over the Pacers, Celtics Center Will Return…

The Celtics hope to win Game 2 at TD Garden on Thursday night, something they haven’t done yet this series.

They would be one step closer to making their second NBA Finals appearance in three years if they did this.

Additionally, center Kristaps Porzingis, who has been out of the lineup since Game 4 of the first round against the Heat, is still out of the picture for Boston, but help is on the way.

The hosts, Xavier Tillman Sr., went from doubtful to available for Game 2 ahead of Thursday’s contest. His personal issues kept him from the series opener.

His comeback comes at the right time, since Al Horford played 40 minutes in Tuesday’s win.

Indiana’s injury report for the visitors is unchanged from Game 1. Their leading scorer off the bench,  Bennedict  Mathurin, hasn’t played since March due to a shoulder injury that necessitated season-ending surgery. Luckily for the Pacers, nobody else is on the list.

At TD Garden, Game 2 of the Eastern Conference Finals will begin on Thursday at 8:00 EST.
