Kameron Howard revealed on Monday afternoon that he would be committing to the SEC champions, and the Alabama Crimson Tide received their third transfer portal pledge of the spring window.
This occurred only a few days after this past Saturday, when Howard formally entered the transfer portal.
Howard, a defensive back, is a 2023 true freshman who is joining Alabama from Charlotte. In his lone college football season, Howard recorded 38 total tackles there in addition to 0.5 TFL, two INTs, and one PD.
Before coming to Charlotte, 247Sports had Howard unranked as a high school talent. He graduated from Maryland’s St. Frances Academy, a nationally renowned school, in the 2023 class. After graduating from high school, Howard had offers from numerous institutions, including those in Memphis, Charlotte, and Buffalo.
With that in mind, Howard suddenly becomes a member of an Alabama defensive back lineup that will probably feature several new starters this year. Howard, who is about to start his sophomore season, should contribute to the depth at safety.
