Could an injured former LSU standout and wide receiver for the New Orleans Saints return to the NFL in 2022?
NFL Network’s Tom Pelissero reports that former Saints wide receiver Jarvis Landry has received an invitation to the Jacksonville Jaguars’ rookie minicamp. The five-time Pro Bowler Landry missed the previous season due to an ankle ailment he suffered while with the Saints.
The Jacksonville receiving corps features a number of skilled wideouts, including Zay Jones, Christian Kirk, Tim Jones, Elijah Cooks, Devin Duvernay, Parker Washington, Seth Williams, and Gabe Davis. Landry, 31, will have to contend with fierce competition in this area. Over the course of his stellar nine-year career at LSU, Landry has amassed 713 receptions for 7,870 yards and 38 receiving touchdowns.
In New Orleans, he had 25 receptions for 272 yards and a score in the 2022 season.
