BREAKING NEWS: Rocco Baldelli Manager of Minnesota is going on leave to be with his wife for the birth of twins….

Rocco Baldelli, manager of the Twins, is taking a leave of absence to be with his wife at the twins’ birth.

For the most part of his life, Minnesota manager Rocco Baldelli has been surrounded by Twins fans.

He’s going to have a slightly different future.

Following the Chicago White Sox game on Saturday, Baldelli will take a paternity leave. In a few days, his wife, Allie, will give birth to twin sons.

“We’re thrilled. “It’s a set of twins, and we had no idea what to anticipate or even that we would make it this far,” remarked Rocco Baldelli. We’ve essentially completed the time that was assigned to us, which is thrilling and, in my opinion, beneficial for the infants. Since Allie is still feeling fairly well, we’re really fortunate.”

In 2021, Rocco and Allie tied the knot during the All-Star break. Louisa, their daughter, was born on September 6, 2021.

The AL Central-leading Twins visit Cincinnati for a three-game series following Sunday’s series finale against the White Sox. On Friday night, they start a six-game homestand against the Los Angeles Angels.

Baldelli won’t be around, so bench coach Jayce Tingler will lead the squad.

“A return strategy is not yet in place. I don’t know when that will happen,” Baldelli remarked. “We’ll check in to see how everyone is doing and how Allie is feeling.”

The starting pitchers against the Reds are listed as right-handers Joe Ryan, Kenta Maeda, and Bailey Ober. Left-hander Dallas Keuchel will, according to Baldelli, be used out of the bullpen for the time being. Keuchel, 35, has three starts in September with an 8.03 ERA and no record.

Baldelli stated, “We now have five individuals in the rotation, but that might change.” “The five guys we end up with could change. We could finish up with six men. By the end of the regular season, we may have four players in the lineup. We will need to determine how it best suits each individual.
